LEED Landscaping

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) grading system is becoming the industry standard for assessing and defining “green” design and construction.  Landscape-based decisions can earn your LEED project credits in 3 categories.  Landscape-related points fall under the credit categories of Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, and Material Resources.

Fraser Richmond Soil & Fibre is committed to reducing negative impact on the environment, both in our daily practices and in the manufacturing of our product.  Our composted soil is produced from recycled wood-waste, yard clippings and food waste collected from all over the lower mainland.  We recycle and compost the waste and then turn it around to go back into the same communities as nutrient-rich soil for gardens, farms and landscape projects. Our product is a LEED-compliant option for projects within 500 km of the Metro Vancouver area.
